  1. The dress on Say Yes to the Dress was so much better.

  2. We all agree that the other dress she picked out on the show was much better than the one in these pictures. Too bad she had to put Randy and the other employees through so much drama, and then doesn't even wear the dress. So much for class. Dr. Robin and Staff

  3. So much for comission, you mean.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Really? You are going to come on our family blog and post that? And then talk about class??

  5. so i don't know who this "robin" girl is.. but obviously she's blind. nicole looked absolutely radiant on her wedding day and maybe "robin" should get over herself and her pathetic jealousy of the perfect bride??? yeah. i think so.

  6. You might want to see what a lot of people are posting about the Yes to the Dress episode. It is pretty much a concensus on the situation.

  8. In the process of making a beautiful family, as if it were any of your business

  9. WOW, She didnt wear the dress???? WHY? It was beautiful!!! The dress she wore is plain/boring. Sad.

  10. The dress she wore is much much better than the "say yes to the dress" gown. She looks radiant in her photos. Great choice, does anyone know who the designer of her actual wedding dress is?

  11. Jilly,
Both you and your sister make it EVERYONE'S business when you agree to appear on a reality tv show and behave like spoiled brats!

Your family's great entertainment, but I wouldn't want to get within 50 feet of any of you.

  12. Get off my blog then.

FYI: we flew to NYC to go wedding dress shopping. we had a million and a half appts to go to, most of which served champaign and had no time limit. we went to klienfelds because you cant go to nyc and not go to klienfelds! we were ASKED to be on the show, which by the way, we had never heard of before. we did it and it was a BLAST! They offered to keep the store open longer (which they dont air, because where is the drama in that) and we had a ball with the staff there.
I just can't believe there are people like you, mrs anonymous, who watch the show on a regular basis - and then have the time to google the people in it and put them down on there personal blogs. get a life.

  13. Nicole's gown was just beautiful, but what happened to the gown she bought at Kleinfeld's? I do happen to like this one better though.

  14. I am curious... both were beautiful dresses, but very different. What changed her mind?

  15. They edited the heck out of the footage that they took for that episode. Nicole Christine is the sweetest, nicest, most grateful girl in the world and the editors cut and pasted the heck out of the footage. She did NOT ask them to keep the store open ((THEY DID!)) and they MADE her stand in front of the mirror for so long. The producers were looking to create a "spoiled rich girl theme" and when they discovered a wonderful, loving, grateful God-thanking family, they did what they had to do to get what they wanted. But it was not at all what really happened.

    ReplyDelete
  16. P.S.,Anonymous, you will never ever be lucky to get within 50 feet of that wonderful family, so you have nothing to worry about. Continue on in your misery and the joy you get from trying to hurt others.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Thanks Lindsay. Nicole was/is a beautiful bride. And is my best friend. Anyone who knows her knows who she is. Regardless of the negative feedback, we had the best time ever in NYC, and even had a good time on the show.

    :)

  18. I really wanted to try to get on the show, that's how I happened upon this blog, but now I am too afraid. No thanks, reality TV... People can be sooo cruel!!! And say the meanest things! I have known Nicole since high school and still think of her as one of the sweetest people I've ever met. I'm glad you had fun, though, and were able to ignore the meanies!!

  19. you can't put a blog on the internet - open to all, worldwide - then get mad when people visit it. if you'd prefer a private venue, that's available. so deal with the fact that people who saw Nicole on TV, regardless of how it was edited, saw a selfish, rich, spoiled brat.

  20. I was flipping through the channels when I heard Nicole say “I am from Hibbing MN.” At first I had to say to my husband "did she just say Hibbing?" It was exciting as I was born and raised in Hibbing. As for "Anonymous" people can put a blog on the internet and open it to all. Most people use tact when posting their thoughts and ideas. Say Yes to The Dress edited the show to portray Nicole as this spoiled brat, but the editor's are not on this blog and they are not editing your posts. You are showing us all that you are a very uneducated, unsophisticated, IDIOT who gets her excitement by bashing people. It is sad that you have such a lonely life that you have to say such stupid stuff just to make yourself feel so much better. Just because Nicole decided on a different dress is really no business of yours, that ended when she walked out of the store that night. I know you are jealous because you were maybe lucky to wear a wedding dress at all and if you did it was probably a used one, so my suggestion is, stay in your trailer, shut the curtains and keep watching your reality TV shows and keep dreaming because no matter how much you try, you would never amount to a fourth of the person Nicole or her sister Jill has shown.

    1. You can't chastise a person for being rude and stupid and then in the next sentance do the exact same thing. Hypocrite. Those are the worst people of all. Judgement without compassion or thought.

  21. This is pretty crazy... I saw Nicole on the show and instantly recognized her. I am fairly certain I went to school with her...Did she go to U Of C in Boulder by any chance?

  22. Glad for your family that you had such a wonderful event and Nicole was able to pick from so many dresses. In my case, if it fits and doesn't break the small bank I live in, I'm happy. We live in different worlds, I guess. Good for you. Hope your life stays that way.

MOA??? I've only ever been a maid of Honor, what A-word were you the maid/matron of?
And my bridal salon served champagne, what does champaign taste like?

  24. Hahahahahahahaha. That is AWESOME!
I rule! Never claimed to be perfect! (although I am pretty damn close...)

  25. Who tells people they flew into Kleinfeld's on a private jet? Who gives a shit? I'm from Manhattan and nobody I know would ever discuss their transportation to the stupid bridal store. "I drove here in a Bentley" Uh, nobody cares. I'm sure the producers asked her to mention that, but she had to give the info in the first place. Class is not talking about money. Class is not going on a show featuring "spoiled rich girls". You had to sign paperwork to appear on the show. You understood the topic.

Regardless, I have no idea what kind of person Nicole is. She could be a total doll. But almost everybody that grew up in Manhattan proper has money and we all know that you don't talk about money if you have money. And you sure as hell don't go on a reality TV show to talk about it. Well-known Northeast concept. Perhaps the Midwest doesn't have the same standards.

  26. All I can say is I think this entire blog of bashing is silly. I will say I took 10 minutes out of my day to find out more about this person I just watched on an old episode of Say Yes to the Dress. Nicole did seem spoiled, selfish and unconcerned with other people's time. I do believe, however, that the show was probably edited to make her appear that way for entertainment's sake. I suppose my only point is I hope she really did not buy the dress at Kleinfeld's only to wear another on her wedding day and if she did, I hope she sold the one she bought at Kleinfeld's in order to pay her sweet father back for the expense of it all.

  27. I loved the episode nicole was on, I did have a question. I do not know if you remeber, but who made the dress with the sheer back with pearls drapping down. Beautiful, especially on nicole. Please let me know. Thank you so much

  28. I just watched the rerun of your sister's episode, and like the previous poster, wanted to find out who this family was and why they had so much money! I find it crazy that all of these people are so negative. You do not know how a reality show is going to portray you until it airs. My family was on a reality show and we didn't know what the name of the episode would be, or what footage they would use and show. We only found out when it premiered, along with the rest of the country. Congratulations to you and your beautiful sister. Wishing all of you a very happy, healthy and loving lifetime. Be happy and thankful for your family and forget all these internet kooks! <3

  29. Thanks!
I do not remember the designer of the dress with the pearls draping down, but it was fantastic!
We just watched the video of the wedding weekend today and it was amazing!!! Such a beautiful couple and such a beautiful weekend!
    Happy thanksgiving!!

  30. Well, I just watched a rerun of the show and I don't see what the big deal is. There are plenty of people on the show that I think suck, but Nicole wasn't one of them. I personally tried on tons of wedding dresses before purchasing the 4th one I tried on. It's an important decision that shouldn't be rushed.
Anyway, from your pics, Jilly, Nicole looked beautiful and happy. I know it was a year ago and this is old news, but congrats to her!
Oh, and your kids are cuties too!

  31. Jill! This is from another anonymous person on the internettttt... Just found your blog because I am currently wedding dress shopping and I have become OBSESSED with the Monique Lhuillier Sunday Rose and am considering purchasing it....tomorrow actually! And just wondering what made Nicole change her mind on that gown?! It makes me nervous that she didn't go through with that dress because her episode of Say yes to the Dress was what got me to fall in love with that dress in the first place!!!!!!

  32. Hi
Nicole loved the dress, but she is a small framed person and the dress felt really heavy to her....
if she was planning to get married in a church setting, i think she would have went with it, but she wanted something more light for the beach. thanks and good luck!!! It is a fabulous gown!
    Jill

  33. Great to hear that it was more about the setting!! I got the Sunday Rose yesterday! I think Nicole looked beautiful in that gown as well as the one she wore on her wedding day!! Hope I look as great as she did! :) thanks for the info!!

  34. I just got done watching a rerun of this episode and since Nicole was from Hibbings, I had to google her. :) (so that is why I'm on here!) Congrats to Nicole on her marriage and she made a beautiful bride. I enjoyed watching her on the rerun!

  35. Is there a photo posted of Nicole's dress she wore in wedding? There are couple that show her with people but no full length shots. Itsa style I may may be interested in.

    ReplyDelete
  36. The dress she wore is beautiful and it is "Saffron" by Melissa Sweet, she purchased it at Priscilla of Boston :)

  37. I'm glad to read from people who personally know Nicole what she's really like and how things actually happened at the salon that day. It must have been stressful to be portrayed in an unfair light.

I thought seeing was believing, but I'll think twice next time I see "reality" TV.

    Best wishes to the family!

  38. Who are we to judge? We see "snippets" of appointments on television (they have to, after all, maintain an audience). I think the wedding was beautiful just as it took place. Congratulations!!!

  39. Jill,
I am planning a fashion show wedding expo breast cancer fund raiser in Duluth in May.
What did Nicole do with her dress from Kleins? My idea is if she would consider donating it for auction and the proceeds would go to Breast Cancer. I know it is a lot to ask and totally understand if she passes on the idea. We could have a minimum bid and she can set the price. Having her dress there would give everyone a great deal of good PR and make the event really special.
    Thanks!
    Bethany

  40. This stuff is so funny. Hey, a bride on tv is still a bride...a very emotional woman. You dont have he right to bash her, thats so horrid. I feel for the woman and I dont even know her! Do y'all think that because she is on tv she has no feelings and y'all can say what y'all want? She's still a human being....famous or not, and these comments must have been painful to read. Common people, be kind, every thought isn't always worth voicing.
And get your heads out of the clouds....IT"S ENTERTAINMENT!!! It's not real! Stop watching other people live their lives and go out and live your own!!!

KCMB from the Gem of the Caribbean. :D

  41. This is the 2nd bride I've found that did not wear the dress she allegedly said "yes" to. I'm starting to think that show is staged ;) But regardless, she is a beautiful girl and it looks like she was a beautiful bride. I'm getting married next Spring and loved a big poofy dress like she had tried on on the show. But I too am small framed and just could not see myself carrying that size of a dress around all night. The dress she chose is similar in shape to what I chose. There are always gonna be haters...let them be damned! :)

  42. I definitely googled too because I'm from MN. It's stinks that people have so many negative perceptions of Nicole. She seems like a great woman! I definitely didn't judge her at all, because I know that most Edina families aren't necessarily the "silver spoon" spoiled brats. Nicole is stunning! Congratulations to them both :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Sorry Burkes family. Their negative dress comments probably belong on the TLC website. If Nicole was happy, who are we to judge? I saw the episode, but am not naive enough to believe every created persona.

  44. Just watching this episode on SKy Italian channel-- I live in Italy. Yes, she looks beautiful in this dress but heck she's a beautiful girl and could just about wear anything.

I just had my fairytale wedding in Hawaii and can totally understand the complexity of finding the RIGHT dress.

Nicole you looked fab in these photos and in the end, made the right choice because it was YOUR choice! A belated Congrats three years later!

  45. Wow it's scary to know that reality tv can make ppl believe a person is totally not who thy are in real life... I'm scared! I came here cos of the comments bout nicole changing her dress.. And I thought the same bout the venue and how it will effect the funtionality of the dress and her comfort... I'm glad she is happy and I'm ashame that all the comments on YouTube influence me in a bad way bout Nicole! I thr is always two side to a story I learn my lesson. Thank for posting this.. Wish u all the best!

  46. I have to admit I searched for you after seeing SYTTD- and I don't watch all that often.. Nonetheless.. You are beautiful (and I know reality t.v. cuts/pastes to their advantage.. I'm sorry other's have accused you of being something you are not.. Wish you the best- you looked very beautiful on your wedding day!! :)

  47. Definitely believe that which you said. Your favorite reason appeared to be on the internet the easiest thing to be aware of.
I say to you, I certainly get irked while people think about worries that they just don't know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks

  49. They showed the episode again tonight in Randy's rehash show. He was rude about Nicole... yes, again.
I think that company has made eough money off Nicole and her family. They need to give it a rest.
ANyone who thinks that reality tv is real needs a kick in the rear. I am sorry your sister was depicted like a rude person. I hope she and her family are happy.
